Every decoration in this house was chosen with care. We had everything we needed, including hand soap and filtered water! Both much appreciated. "It was a cute little older home. With nice updates on the inside. They are definitly doing work to the exterior. In the description it said there was a grill. Which there was unfortunately there was so many large black trash bags you could not get to it. The first step at the side walk was broken. And the railing inaide was very loose. Although there was some minor issues we enjoyed out atay."

"The place was great. Four of my siblings, a nephew, and my father stayed for 2 nights to visit my terminally ill brother who lives in the area. The house is located near the center of town near restaurants. The spaciousness was helpful for private contemplation, yet the gathering rooms were great for getting together to share our experiences. The collection of items was a source of conversation in and of themselves."

"We truly enjoyed our weekend at The Pine Tree. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and convenient. It was well appointed and provided all we needed to feel at home while away from home. We loved that our host stocked the kitchen with basic spices as well as coffee and tea. It was a quick and easy drive to SUNY Cortland. We hope to return to the Pine Tree in the near future."

"The place is awesome. I loved the view of the slopes! And the whole feel is a ski cabin. The living room area was great with ample comfy seats and seats for eating at table and at island. Loved the (gas) fireplace. The kitchen was so well stocked with basics - from oil and vinegar, to coffee filters, to aluminum foil. Note that the amazing proximity to the mountain means being 15 minutes from groceries and restaurants. The one big note is that there's a cool spiral staircase to an awesome loft...

"Perfect for a family ski weekend. The house is located right across the street from the ski area. There is a shuttle but it is totally walkable. The house was well kept and spotless. There is a gas fireplace which keeps the living room nice and warm. The host was very responsive and made sure everything was running smoothly and we were happy. We would definitely come back again!"

We were lucky with some mild weather on Christmas day which allowed us some time outdoors, but I can imagine how nice the outside area must be during the warmer months. "I absolutely loved being at the Wee Hobbit House, Scottlandyard in Brooktondale, NY. I am a 70 year old woman and went to upstate NY to spend time with my daughter and grandson. Was a perfect location for me... 10 minutes from my daughter, Dandy Mart on the way for coffee and gas. I mention 70 year old because the upstairs bedroom was not something I could manage, but I slept on the couch downstairs and was very comfortable. Tanya was super as a co-host.
