"Darlene and Jason did a good job. Jason was up at the cottage next door and helped us with the DVD player. The kitchen was modern and new and the interior decor was fresh and new. The Wi-fi worked great and sitting on the dock with a coffee first thing in the morning before anyone is up watching the loon fish was priceless the kids used the paddleboards and I used the kayak daily. The dog could not get enough of swimming in the lake every day. "

Everything worked from the hot tub to the bbq and everything in between. Lots of yard games for the kids, beautiful garden, oh and my favorite is the outdoor shower under the stars. "Our multi-generational family of 14 were very pleased by the quality and thoughtful inclusion of literally anything you could want in a getaway cottage!Quality furnishings throughout...Incredibly well-stocked kitchen: next time we won't need to bring as much of our favorite things because the hosts have provided it all!We appreciated the different gathering spaces both inside and out. Located on a large, clean, quiet lake, the long lakefront shore also provided extra privacy from neighboring properties.Plenty of plush bedding, fresh linens and extra clean towels (including beach towels!), soaps were included as well.Life jackets, mosquito jackets, BBQ, kayaks, SUPs, indoor games, outdoor games, fire pit, strollers, high chairs, crib, the inclusions go on and on. It's obviously a well-loved home to the hosts.Check-in was streamlined and efficient; communication with the host was excellent.We are definitely booking again next year!"

"Beautiful rustic cabin that faces Madawaska River. Brad (also met his mom) are lovely hosts.Cabin is in the yard (I think) of Brad's family cabin. He told me he'd be on the property the day we checked in. His family did some maintenance but they left the following day. It's very private, which we love.Cabin itself is very well-equipped. Different sizes of frying, soup and sauce pans. Different cooking utensils. Even paper filters for the coffee machine. There's also steak knives, pitchers, shot glasses, wine glasses, mixing bowls, extra toilet paper, paper towels, hand towels and kitchen towels. Can't emphasize enough how well-stocked the kitchen is.No AC but you don't need it. If you open all the windows during the day, a nice breeze comes through the cabin. At night, the temperature really drops so, come prepared with extra blankets. Definitely bring your canoe, kayak or paddle board, and your swim gear. The river is just gorgeous. Geese like to hang out on the property. There's a lot of droppings everywhere, including on the rock stairs leading into the swimming area. But we're experienced campers and nature doesn't really bother us. Dock area is amazing. It's nice to just sit out there with a coffee. Lots of indoor and outdoor chairs available for a large family like ours.Old railroad parralel to roadway gets some foot traffic and the occasional ATV or dirt bike. But you're facing the river, not the road.Use Vrbo coordinates, not address to find the cabin. "

"This is a marvellous property! We rented it for a week for 11 of us. The cottages are very pleasant, and the entire property was ideal for us. Excellent outdoor space in particular, and right on the water. The indoor space in the largest cottage would be very tight for 11 people having a meal, but we had good weather, so this did not pose problems for us."
