"Excellent place just about in the woods while being accessible to Algonquin and a nearby town with a good grocery. Wood was stocked for fire and weather good enough to not even have to look at the central air/heating. Great accommodations and helpful owner. Highly recommend."

"Lovely older building with a new modern look and amenities. Our room was beautiful with serene views amidst the winter landscape. The lobby/lounge was warm and welcoming. We booked a hydrotherapy session and thoroughly enjoyed the use of the sauna and steam room. The food was amazing at the restaurant and the service was on point. The resort itself is quite remote, but during an unexpected winter storm it was the perfect retreat. "

"Once again, we had a terrific family and friends vacation (that includes our fur babies). I was looking for a place to relax and recharge, connect with my family and our friend’s family. We are a go go go family and need a week to just sit, play, and enjoy each other’s company. We are a large bunch with several teenagers and need space and a place that isn’t ‘fussy’. This hit the mark again. Janet was super helpful leading up to our stay and during our stay. Everything you need to know is at your fingertips. If you are looking for a place to wake up, open the door and let the kids play, this is it. "

"A fun hostel with lots of character! Staff was friendly and helpful, and the property had lots of charm. Bear in mind, it is a hostel, not a hotel; if you aren't used to staying in a hostel, this is not the place for you. Local breakfast places are incredible. We would stay here again."
