"Serviceable pub hotel. The rooms are dated and creaky but the bathrooms were freshened a few years ago and were fine. The beds are hard, and the carpet and furniture worn. The room was clean, however, and the staff friendly. Bottom line, this isn’t a luxury stay, but for a night or two if you need to be in Marlborough, this pub hotel is acceptable and clean."
"Lovely, attentive staff who made me feel welcome. Unfortunately, the shower was positioned under the eaves of the roof, meaning anyone over 5ft 5in had to bend down to use it. There was also a power cut from 7am until 8:50am, and I was disappointed that no apology or acknowledgement was offered the following morning. A simple apology would have been a nice gesture."
