"The hotel was great for what I was looking for. It was clean and airy and modern. The food in the evening was poor and unappetising. The gym and pool were well looked after and nice to use. It was a shame the lifeguard was talking to a friend throughout her time, lifeguarding the pool."

"The hotel was in the middle of a refurb hence some of the lower stars. The location is fantastic. Opposite the beach and a few mins walk from Spanish City. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. I booked a single room which was very spacious. The bathroom was bright and new. Unfortunately the bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable and the room a bit dated bit I'm assuming that will be sorted when the refurb is finished. Breakfast was very good but served 6 till 9 which, when you're on holiday, is a tad early. I only went down twice. I hope to go back once the refurb is finished, providing they don't hike the prices top much."

"What a treasure this boutique hotel was. Lovely comfortable beds, wonderful shower and the best breakfast I’ve ever had in England. It’s in a charming coastal town and just a short walk to the beach. Parking was free and easy in the area."

"First impression was that the outside of the building could do with a little attention, but what a contrast once inside the apartment… superb, The only niggle was the noise from upstairs. Not deliberate, just very noisy laminate flooring. Loud enough to wake you. If you are a really heavy sleeper then you will be hard pushed to find a nicer place."

"Sehr süß eingerichtetes Apartment direkt hinterm Strand. Man kann an der Strandpromenade mit dem Auto kurz anhalten, um aufzuladen. Whitley Bay hat viele Restaurants, Cafés, Bars und Läden. Der Strand ist toll, v. a. bei Ebbe. Wir waren zu zweit. Mit 4 Personen könnte es in der Unterkunft etwas eng werden. Toll ist der Blick auf das Meer!"

"A clean and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. It was well placed for travelling into Newcastle as well as visiting several seaside towns. We had a lovely walk from the cottage to St Mary's Lighthouse, where we saw several seals. We enjoyed feeding carrots the horses."
