"Check in was contactless so we didn’t see any staff but our room and key was ready and waiting for us upon arrival. The room was clean and spacious. Great location and all information was provided in the room."

"Very clean and extremely helpful staff. I believe it is fairly obvious, but to climb either the front stairs, or follow the road to park a vehicle at the side of the hotel (beside red postbox) is fairly challenging for those of an elderly / infirm position. Anyone younger, it is a great workout routine! I WOULD BOOK this hotel again. Great area and nice short walk into town where you have everything you need."

"The Anchor was a convenient stay for us as we needed to be close to the ferry to take us to Isla. The staff were very pleasant and check-in was easy. Parking was across the street and convenient as well. The rooms are very small and dated but clean and comfortable. There is a pub next door and many people were enjoying the World Cup so it got pretty noisy but we were able to sleep. We had a fabulous dinner in the Anchor's restaurant. I have a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate. Tarbert is a wee fishing town so there isn't much going on but we enjoyed walking around and climbed the hill to see the old castle which gave spectacular views. We wandered in a few shops and had nice chats with everyone. Breakfast was spectacular and we left for Isla well rested and ready for our journey. Thank you!"

"The facilities were great . Our room was the Hayloft and was fantastic . I would say more like a studio flat with our own kitchen dining and lounge areas . It was very relaxing such a lovely place overall. We chose to have breakfast in the cafe each morning and it was excellent. The staff were very helpful when it came to local eating out for evening meals and things to see and do . I definitely agree with others I would give it a 10 out of 10 and will be back"

"This was the perfect base for our group of 6 friends to explore Bute. Host’s communication was proactive and clear, check-in really smooth and the property as expected. We loved the sea view from the living room. We’d be back again without hesitation!"
