"For our purposes the motel was adequate; however, it's definitely showing its age, The carpeting, woodwork, bathroom tile & fixtures are all very worn. When we arrived in our room it smelled damp/musty. Be careful of the refrigerator as it froze our bottled water regardless of the setting. After long days riding ATV trails we were disappointed the hot tub in the pool area was non-functional. Breakfast was satisfactory and the warm chocolate chip cookies at the end of the day were delicious. Staff was vey pleasant and accommodating -- housekeeping did a good job despite being handicapped by the age of the room. A taller, ADA approved toilet would be a bonus, as would a safety bar beside the toilet. Water pressure and temperature were great! Parking spots were wide and spacious which was much appreciated when loading/unloading our vehicle. This motel was conveniently located to the trail access we came to the area to enjoy. Bottom line -- if Wyndham did a complete renovation/remodel/update of the rooms at this property I believe they would realize a significant benefit."

"We enjoyed our week-long stay with our family of seven adults, one child, and our furry family members. The cabin was clean, quiet, and relaxing, and we especially enjoyed the beautiful water view. Having air conditioning and a washing machine available was also very much appreciated during a week-long stay. We were especially grateful that the property was accommodating to our pets, which made it possible for the whole family to be together.There were a few areas that could use some improvement. Outdoor seating on the deck was fairly limited for a larger group, and the refrigerator was on the small side, with usable space further limited by a broken rail inside the door. Seating in the living room was also somewhat limited, and we found the futon-style furniture in the sunroom uncomfortable because the cushions tended to slip.Overall, we had a very nice and relaxing week. The peaceful setting, water view, cleanliness, and pet-friendly accommodations were definite highlights. With a few improvements to the seating and refrigerator, this would be an even more comfortable stay for larger families."
Authentic German Log Cabin in Hayward!!

"This was a quick thought out mini vacation. The cabin we chose ended up being a quaint, cozy and charming cabin. Very clean and set in a quiet location that you couldn’t tell you were close to town. The water was only a 1-2 minute walk to one of the docks. Was sitting on the dock the morning and a magnificent Bald Eagle flew in front of me, perched in a tree on the other side of the water, then flew down caught a fish in its talons and flew off. Fishing wasn’t as great as I had hoped, but we had a great time in the North Woods. Highly recommend this cabin. Also met some very nice people in some of the other cabins."
