I recommend this hidden gem! Location: This is a quick walk from the Tube at Aldgate East, and a 12-minute walk to the tube Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line if you're coming in from Heathrow, for example. Two very easy ways to get to this hotel that I used. I was happy to be upgraded to a higher floor and room, with champagne, from my higher tiered level with Hotels.com. But either way, would've been happy with the room I booked. Just the entrance alone is very safe as it's locked at night...

This was everything you would expect from an American hotel chain and more. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and even surprised us with a little anniversary treat! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. There was a market across the street and lots of ethnic restaurants nearby that were delicious and reasonably priced for London. There was a car service across the street to get us to the airport--they were much cheaper than the airport taxis and were very punctual.
