"Our stay in Amarela Resort turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit to Bohol. The whole place is ART. The attention to detail was astounding! The staff were all warm, friendly, and helpful. If you ever plan to stay in Amarela resort, please take the time to walk the grounds -- they have an art gallery, beautiful walkways, a library, a massage hut, a garden, an infinity pool, a magnificent view of the sunrise, etc. The surrounding area is peaceful. "The staff are amazing and very helpful specially to foreign and first time tourists like us. It’s off the main highway but a bit far away from the places of interest so you need a ride to go around. The hotel staff are reliable at providing information and transportation options. It a nice quiet place to wind down and recharge after whole day of Island activities. I love it."

"We paid 27€/night and I think this was quite good value. Location was a bit remote with most services situated in Alona Beach where you will need to take a ride (about 40 pesos) though we rather liked it this way rather then being right in the hustle and bustle. The place could really use a couple of sun beds since there aren't any. Service was extremely kind and helpful. If you don't mind the location and the lack of sun beds I would definitely recommend."
