With 3 miles of unspoilt beach, this is a fantastic location to get out and explore the natural beauty of the North York Moors and The Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Take a pleasure boat out to sea or a tour bus around the famous sights. Hop on-board the steam train that travels right into the heart of the Yorkshire Moors National Park from Whitby to Goathland famously known as ‘Aidensfield’ in the TV show ‘Heartbeat’. For the outdoor enthusiast, Whitby forms part of the Cleveland Way Walk, a 110 mile walk which comes down the coast through Whitby, finishing at Filey, passing through quaint fishing villages and along rugged coastlines.
