"It’s an older hotel that has been nicely updated. It’s clean, convenient and all the staff was so friendly. The shower head was amazing- great pressure! There is a nice park like area on the property. Highly recommend."

"The home was beautiful, with a phenomenal view and in a quiet area. The home was clean and generally well stocked. The Theatre, rec room and main floor TV/playroom were nice options for our group. We were notified prior to our visit that the hot tub was not functioning so not available for us to use. The steep Bluff was closer to the home then it appeared in the photos. The yard adjacent to the Bluff is temporarily fenced.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and all the amenities."

"Hospitality is tested not when everything goes perfectly, but when travel plans go awry. Arriving in Oak Harbor, Washington at 1:00 a.m. usually guarantees a groggy reception, but at The Auld Holland Inn, it brought out the absolute best in Whidbey Island lodging. The owner/manager, Eric, accommodated our late arrival with a warmth and grace that immediately melted away our hours of travel fatigue. The properties that leave the most lasting impressions are those with distinct character. Our room was a beautifully preserved, classic retreat-spacious, immaculately clean, and radiating an old-world, Dutch-themed charm. Unlike many modern, sterile hotel chains where aesthetics overshadow functionality, everything here worked seamlessly. From the perfectly chilled refrigerator and microwave to the excellent water pressure in the hot shower, flat-screen TV, coffee maker, and powerful blow dryer, no detail was overlooked. To top it off, the bed offered pure, plush comfort that ensured a flawless night’s rest. The inn serves as an incredible base camp for exploring the Pacific Northwest, strategically located near Deception Pass State Park, Fort Ebey, and Fort Casey. Our island adventure eventually called us onward, cutting our four-day reservation short by one night to continue sightseeing further up the coast. Showing their true colors, management went above and beyond by gracefully refunding our final, unused night. I will return. I give them my highest possible recommendation!!!"

"Great little beach house. Just right for a couple to get away with great access to Oak Harbor and the beautiful Coupeville and adjacent to Joseph Whidbey state park. Everything about the property is nice… even being along a semi busy beach road wasn’t all that noticeable. The constantly changing view out the window made it hard to want to leave to go do something else thanks to the variety of birds, occasional seals and otters too!"

"Beautiful location, with awesome relaxing view. Several rooms to accommodate a large group, with different seating areas, and nice eating area to accommodate family/friends gathering. Kitchen/home stocked with essentials. Remodel baths, nicely decorated and cozy atmosphere. Central island location for easy drive north or south. Greenbank winery an easy walk, to enjoy an outing without driving. Host responsive for assistance if needed."

"Great location and the views of the ocean from the house are spectacular. Loved watching the ships of all sizes and purposes from cruise ships to little personal boats. The area is incredibly quiet. House was fully supplied, beds very comfortable and we enjoyed having furniture out on the patio. All in all a 10/10 experience. Would stay again."

"This was our second visit to the Cliffside Cottage and like our first visit it was superb. The host’s attention to the little details is clearly in a class by itself. We have stayed in short-term rentals from the Atlantic to the Pacific and this home is clearly our #1 favorite! We strongly recommend this home as a home base for a visit to wonderful Whidbey Island!"
