This hotel has a lovely old fashion charm to it. Each room seems to be completely unique and furnished with interesting antiques. It is very quiet. My room (6) had a window AC unit and ceiling fan as well as a TV with a built in DVD player to be able to watch their huge collection of DVDs. It overlooks the water in Wheeler and is very close to lots of fun things to see.
The Old Wheeler Hotel was quiet and clean, the host was kind and called when I left jewelry behind. If we are in Wheeler, OR again, we will definitely stay there again.
This hotel was charming! Enjoyed staying here very much, the owner Katie was quite helpful and friendly which made the ambiance even more pleasant and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend staying here & plan on returning myself.
The Old Wheeler hotel is a jewel in Wheeler, OR. The owner is always attentive but not hovering. Each room is nicely decorated reminiscent of the 30-50s. The bathrooms for each room is in the hall but is it not a problem. The views of the bay and marina are great from the rooms. I recommended this place without reservations.
Katie, owns and operates This historical and classy hotel. Million dollar views from each stylish rustic, comfortable and antique rooms in this small pass through city along HWY 101 in Oregon. If you like looking for old things, then next door is a huge antique mall also in. Large historical building with many rooms of a great selection of antiques and old nick nacks to choose from. Nonetheless, great stop here, which I will return to again.
We can’t praise Kate and her hotel enough! She was hospitable and flexible with check in. The rooms were charming and fun. Wheeler is quaint and adorable, just like its historic hotel.
This hotel was charming! if you love history and antiques, this is the place for you. The 100+ year old elevator alone is worth booking this hotel. We had a beautiful bay facing view that was great! The room was period antique but not stuffy and the hotel owner Katie showed pride of ownership in all the details.
Beautiful gem that we discovered on accident

Disliked: Amenities
Clean, quaint accommodations. Unfortunately, no a/c but for the window over looking a busy state hwy 101(earplugs offered!), no television aside from the 15" flat-screen for DVDs (no satellite nor local tv) and no "continental breakfast" except for a keurig option. All of these features were listed as room features, but were not included nor available.
This was the most peaceful, restorative, and lovely experience I’ve had at a stay. I was impressed with the cleanliness, safety, and the wondrous charm of the place and owner. I would absolutely recommend, especially for solo travelers wishing to find a little solace off the beaten path.
