"The hotel is a credit to the owner in every respect. My wife and I were on holiday to sample various areas of Germany. All staff were most welcoming and helpful. We only had one evening meal there but it was outstanding, and we have eaten in many fine restaurants around the world. It was the first stop on our holiday and it could not have been better. "This was by far the most unique and cool place I’ve ever stayed. The room we booked was for large groups and it was the entire tower you see in the picture. There are a lot of stairs and it is a stone spiral staircase. Smaller rooms are also available in the other part of the castle but I did not see them because there was another guest. The owner is the one doing the renovation and it’s not completely finished yet but the rooms that he has finished are stunning. Looks and feels like a medieval castle. Germany has rules about modern luxuries when restoring castles so some things like the shower and toilet are unique but completely functional. The hosts were extremely helpful answering questions about the town and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was great both days and they had it ready early since we told them we had an early morning train to catch. Downtown is very walkable and old town is definitely worth the trip. So many quaint Biergartens. Simply an amazing find. "
"The place was so nice we went back for a second stay. The breakfast was very good. The dinning room had big windows and wonderful views to look out as you ate. The rooms were roomy and clean. Each floor had a common room were we could sit and visit with relatives. There was plenty of parking at 10euros. There was an elevator from the cover parking to each floor. There was a small garden to walk through."
