The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff could not possibly have been more helpful or friendly. Because of them, I will only stay at the Ocean Avenue Inn when visiting Westport!

We were told our check in time was 3 PM. We arrived promptly at 3, and the office staff informed us our room wasn’t clean yet. There was a fish tank in the office that looked like a hazard for the fish inside it was so dirty. The lady that gave us our key was walking around in the office barefoot, which was concerning. When we finally went to our room, we were concerned by how run down the space looked. Cleaning supplies were left inside of our room. It was advertised as a queen bed, but it was a full sized bed instead. The room smelled horribly of mildew, and the TV wouldn’t turn on. There was an exposed water heater only covered by a curtain. Overall, we felt really uncomfortable staying here and would advise other people to find a different place for your stay.

AMAZING. Under new ownership, Clean, Quiet, and comfortable. Close to 3 restaurants or you can drive to The Local Bar in Grayland for a wonderful steak dinner. Minutes from the Dock area with Fishing, crabbing and shopping. Even more restaurants! The bed was great , the kitchen had what I needed and the bathroom was meticulously clean. Such a relaxing place to stay. I'll be back.

Has some problems with the TV but the manager spent quite a bit of time getting that resolved. The manager was very nice and helpful in suggesting restaurant options. The property is older, but clean and affordable.

Great accomodation.

Great accomodation, stayed one night while prepping for fishing trip. Very clean and,nice. Could use one viewing chair for the in room entertaiment. The tile flooring is hypo allergenic. It looks like this is an older establishment recently remodeled. Wifi was very good connctivity.

all good except for one thing..

The cabin was very nice and big enough for my family, there was a needle found, either for drugs or health. The service and location was great, I’m hoping the mishap was a one off.

Worst Motel Ever, and I've stayed in many

Very uncomfortable, and the service was bad, unprofessional and unethical. The desk clerk was awesome at first when I check in for two nights.She told me that they would "never" enter my room, because there's no maid service. Ok, not great, but I can deal. I immediately found a pair of dirty mens underwear behind the bathroom door. The clerk was embarrassed and apologetic, but it made me wonder how well the room was cleaned. Then I found the pop-top from a soda can halfway under the clock radio, and I knew how well. Next I tried to sleep on the rock-hard bed. Not pleasantly firm, but hard, yet bouncy. Probably just an old old mattress. I hardly slept and woke up with back and hip pain. So I decided I would probably check out, even though I had paid for a second night. I put all my bags in the car and left, but I didn't turn in the key or speak to any employees. I thought I might go back to rest later. I came back four hours later to find my room being cleaned. I was shocked -- what happened to NEVER entering my room?! The same desk clerk came running out and said, "We thought you were finished with the room!". I asked why, when I had paid for two nights. I asked twice but she would not explain, just kept giggling, saying, "I'm so sorry!". So obviously they went into the room -- but why?! No maid service was offered. Seems like they planned to rent it to someone else though I had already paid, and hadn't even checked out! This is unethical, if not downright illegal.
