"Such a wonderful place. So very clean and cozy. Wonderful people. Unfortunately the bed was far too soft for our liking. If we are in the area again we would certainly stay there again but would call ahead first to see if the matresses were replaced. Other than the matress, I loved this place!"

"We stayed here for 2 nights in the beautiful silver Maple suite in the back with windows that looked out on the beautiful greenery in the backyard – – we even saw deer grazing! Carrie is the adorable Manager who makes blueberry muffins to die for for breakfast. This house has so much character and history! It’s location is wonderful, only 20 minutes from Lake Placid!"

"We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. "We had a nice stay at the Mt Philo Inn. The hosts are so lovely and super accommodating. The East Suite is spacious and homey. It would be perfect for a family. We were given a perfectly curated basket with all the fixings for a Vermont breakfast which we greatly appreciated especially on this snowy weekend. The location is wonderful if you’re interested in hiking as you can walk right to the mountain which we loved. The hosts even supply sleds for a bit of winter fun! "
