"We had the pleasure of staying with Marion & Moray recently. We survived the applecross pass drive! The complementary wee dram was very welcome after the drive & fighting the midges while watching the sunset at the beach. We were in a top floor room. Chatted with Marion & Moray that evening & over the full breakfast offering, talked about Applecross & some culture, events & travel tips which we were useful and gladly adopted! "The room was well appointed and the good and service in the restaurant excellent.
The only feedback I have is the shower over the bath could be difficult for an older person to safely get in and out of and check in times are not always convenient for weary travellers..when we arrived at 3.40pm after travelling from Northumberland and absolutely needing the bathroom, the hosts made us wait 20 minutes before opening the door."
"Lovely property in a remote location with views all around. A small family staff manage to cover all the main jobs (check in, bar, cooking, restaurant service, breakfast etc), remaining calm throughout. Rooms are comfortable, warm and well supplied. Our meals in the restaurant were excellent. Nice lounge for drinks from the bar and evening games."
"The Lochview Guesthouse is a top travellers rest, our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The guesthouse is conveniently located a short walk from the centre of Ullapool. Our host Andrew was friendly and welcoming."
"A very warm welcome when we arrived. The bedroom had character, was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the loch. Ten minutes walk to the centre of Ullapool. Checking in was at set times, booked before arrival, the last time being 6.45pm, which was a little restrictive. Compared with other places to stay this was good value for money."
