"We rented the Hyco Lake Gem for our family to gather for an early Christmas gathering. We had family come from out of state and were excited about the lake time and boat house space! The Gem really delivered! The house had everything we needed and nothing we did not. We spent hours on the dock and at the boat house fishing and making memories! "We booked this house to attend what turned out to be a horrible festival called blueridge rock festival. While our festival had issues our rental did not! Our rental had plenty of space for us to invite friends over , bake a lasagna and play some card games together which helped salvage our trip. The home was very spacious, had a lot of nice touches such as a variety of Board games, extra dishes and cookware ect. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy! 10/10 would recommend."

"My father and I stayed while tracking at VIR with Chin Track Days. Our car trailers were able to fit in the driveway for the last night so that we could hit the road early without going back to the track. A short 14 minute drive to the track without going back on 58 made the morning and evening commute great. The property is a very relaxing spot that is wonderfully furnished and comfortable. We will be back in the fall!"

"We enjoyed our stay to the cabin. The location is beautiful and the drive in is quite scenic. The dock was nice. We brought our boat and the drive to the marina was about 10 minutes (there is a fee to use the lake). The house was comfortable but could use some love- it’s dated and could use a little maintenance. "First of all, Jeremy was a wonderful host! He was so accommodating from start to finish and very responsive through messenger. You rock, Jeremy! The property itself was spectacular. This was the most unique rental I have stayed in to date and one of the only rentals that I can confidently say I WILL return to without a doubt. It was comfortable, intriguing, silly, and memorable. "Had a great 3 night stay. Perfect accommodations for 6 adults (3 couples). House had everything we needed and more. Great location within steps of lake with easy access and beautiful views. Plenty of extras provided from firewood, to coffee station, to paddle boat. Easy communication with the host when we had questions. "This is a beautiful house on the lake. We had a baseball tournament about 40 mins away in Greensboro. Well worth the drive. The house was very clean. They had all the amenities that you would need. The owner came over and introduced himself. Showed us how to you use the thermostat. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area."

"The only issue we had was that when we arrived it was extremely hot in the home and the air conditioners (window units) were also on. When we tried to turn the heat down, the thermostat was locked. I went back and forth with the property owner and he finally unlocked the thermostat remotely so we could adjust it. I've never experienced that before. "

"It is an old house, as stated in the ad. Some rooms had bad smell, especially the BR in the basement. Lots of room for everything. We had minor plumbing and electrical issues. Some of the bedrooms were inter connected, had privacy issues. Disappointed with the pool, as it was not clean despite the efforts from two people who came to clean it. Overall it was good!"
