"Good breakfast. We went for a relaxing getaway. The sauna was out of order, we had to ask for the pool to be uncovered, the pool was freezing, the pool room was freezing!! Everywhere I looked was a sign for " we accept tips"! At least 4 in the room and 2 at the breakfast area! All along with a sign that also said " room cleaning and amenities are at your request only". They still have carpeted floors in the room. There were no dressers or any drawers to put your belongings. The bolt lock on the door didn't work. The person that took care of the breakfast was extremely intrusive. He went around singing in a very loud voice, and would sit at your table uninvited and started talking to you! ASll in all a very unpleasant experience."

"This lake side house comes with an amazing family history. You feel welcomed from the moment you turn on the road. The lake view, sitting area, and dock are wonderful. And the large glass porch which looks out to the lake is the best! Wonderful walking areas right from the house. Very quiet there. Being dog friendly made my stay perfect! I met one of the original family who grew up in that house... AMAZING! The host and caretaker were always available if needed and I was greeted with a vase of flowers when I arrived. I'd always dreamed of staying with my dog in a house like this on a new england lake! "

"We welcomed the peacefulness of the house and surrounding area, with its historic charm and well-appointed, comfortable bedrooms, living areas, and kitchen facilities. It’s a generously supplied rental home. Some antique , fine china, a few Art Deco glasses, paintings, maps of Squam Lake, numerous books and guides, an outdoor sitting area under the trees, and fantastic laundry facilities supported our busy group!"
