"Good place to stay "

"Close to absolutely everything. Restaurants parks shops universities seaport all within walking distance."

"We stayed five nights at this property, and it was lovely. The place is clean and well maintained, with a bedroom (huge bed!), large bathroom, and comfy livingroom that has a sideboard that functions as a kitchen. You have to do some exploring in the cupboards to find everything you need, but it's all there! Because the rooms are located at the front of a house, there were some unexpected (but unintrusive) noises and voices from people using the rear of the house. If this might bother you, this place might not be the best fit for you. The local IGA and Cataract Gorge are within walking distance, but Launceston is hilly, so if you do not have good fitness and mobility, or you want to explore further afield, transport is a must. The host is a wonderful communicator and has set this place up to be very comfortable. She has provided lots of little extras that you might enjoy (read: coffee machine!). Thank you, Judy! "The Art Hotel surprised us. It worked out well for our trip. It was next to the Catholic church, which was important for the lenten season and it surprised us. It was on a busy street, but very walkable, markets, the gorge, restaurants and downtown. It has a short check-in time which surprised us too. There was a call number to get the key for our room. We had minimal interactions with the staff."
