"Egypt & its sights are awesome. Everything in Egypt is awesome except that 99.9% of Egyptian people are trying to scam money out of you. Yes, even your Hotel. Its exhausting & demoralizing, trying to keep a good mood & enjoy your trip while all Egyptians see "all tourists" as "marks". I have been all over the world to some of the most impoverished countries & never have I felt like I did in Egypt. "I wish my stay here was longer. The service and hospitality were fantastic. And the attached restaurant had delicious local foods…I’m still thinking about the lentil soup! The hotel also arranged airport transfers so that I didn’t have to worry about getting to the hotel or airport. Saves bargaining with people outside the Luxor airport. The only downside was that the shower was very small and not the easiest to enter/exit due to the placement of the sink. "

"We stayed in the family room (changed from double), as the double room was a dark pit. The family room was spacious for 2 people, for a small additional fee. The hotel is in a convenient location, a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal, but there are no signs so its difficult to find. There is a shortcut through the hotel, which we didnt know about until the final day, so ask the staff about that.
