"This property is stunning . The breakfast is excellent. Cleanliness is top class . Staff are welcoming and very pleasant people. Grounds are kept immaculate by the grounds staff - who deserve a special mention for their excellent efforts . My minor negative is that , although the evening meals are excellent and tasty , the menu needs at least one “ Today’s special” on it that changes Daily .. as after 2 nights we had both used our options up on the very restricted choice menu - and so we had to eat out in the locality to try for something different and so not repeat ourselves. "

"Our stay was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast buffet in the Royalist restaurant each morning of our stay. We stayed in the Princess Charlotte suite. It is a beautiful room, spacious and comfortable. "

"Welcoming staff at check-in. Accommodation is in a great location with a lovely outdoor seating area. Room had everything we needed for an overnight stay, warm, comfortable and clean. Just two things to note, the en-suite needs a blind over the window for privacy from outdoor guests using the seating area, and the shower cubicle has mildew on the grout and tiles, which is rather off putting when stepping in to use! However, a very enjoyable stay and would use again. "

"My brother and I had a spacious family room which was clean and refreshed every day. Bunk bed wasn’t good for an adult but probably fine for kids. Room was warm and shower was strong. Staff were very friendly and helpful in the pub on an evening. Nige was chatty and especially helpful with parking our motorbikes overnight No breakfast included or available, sadly, but a good choice of evening pub grub. Be mindful of long waits on busy weekends."
