"Immaculately kept cabin home with everything needed for a restful stay. The back porch and area out back include beautiful spots to enjoy a meal or the firepit. Nicely located about 10 miles from the lovely town of Wellsboro. The Log Cabin Restaurant is only 2 miles away and has delicious food. There are many state parks nearby, including the Little Grand Canyon. We would love to return in the fall."

"We were a group of three retired college friends (with spouses) traveling from different locations across Pennsylvania, looking to spend some quiet time in Wellsboro and on the Pine Creek rail trail. Marlene’s house was a perfect choice for our visit, conveniently located on the edge of town, within easy walking distance of downtown Wellsboro, and a short drive to the trailhead for the rail trail. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and generously equipped with everything we needed for setting up housekeeping, reminiscing, and celebrating our friendship. Communication with the host was prompt, clear, and always courteous. We would definitely consider staying there again, should our travels and good fortune ever bring us back this way."

"We were very satisfied with this cottage. It does have the quirks of an old house, as mentioned in the listing/reviews, the floors are a bit slanted and some of the ceilings a bit low, but neither of those things detracted from our enjoyment of the house. The kitchen, living room and bathroom are spacious and open. Kitchen windows offered a nice view, and the couch was super comfortable. If you’ve stayed at a house with a bad couch you’ll know it matters! Host provided basic necessities as specified, and we had no issues. Enjoyed the proximity to Wellsboro while having a private place. "

"Pros: Modern hotel. Very friendly staff. Clean. Cons: Breakfast was nothing special. I would have liked a slightly nicer spread. We grabbed something else while on the road. Also, while we did not stay in the older part of the hotel. So, I don't know what that is like."

"Shabby - shabby - chic Historic Pennwells. Pros: Lots of character. Very friendly staff - but everyone is friendly in Wellsboro. Good restaurant and tavern on site. They share the same menus. The interiors of each are unique and terrific. The hotel is in the center of town and walkable to everything. Cons: old and shabby - but it's a bit cool at the same time."

"My husband and I travel to Wellsboro 2-3 times a year and we always stay at the Canyon Motel. They are always very friendly and accommodating and they keep the property spotless."
