We loved our time at the cabin. We have a family of three with a 6 year old and active dog. The location and view is amazing. We went to Catalochee skiing two days and loved coming back to the hot tub and woodburning fire place inside. Our 6 year old loved the video game and bunk beds. Location is GREAT - it is secluded yet close to good food and groceries etc. We reached out the day before arrival with some questions and the team was very responsive and helpful! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful cozy cabin. Only a short drive into town with grocery, restaurants and other shopping options. We enjoyed the beautiful fireplace, and the cabin is very nicely furnished. Great quality linens, bedding, etc. The Mountain View was great!

The stay was great! Already thinking of our next visit! Great views, great hospitality & great instructions for the cabin! The cabin was so cozy and had what we needed. In the perfect location where there’s so much to do!

My fiancée and I drove up for a much needed weekend of relaxation and some good hiking. Hoped that Helene would peter out. Not the case. Waynesville took a direct hit. Glad we were at this cabin though. Very solid with easy access. Comfortable and furnished with great towels and warm blankets. We don’t even mind losing power or the internet. We stayed safe and sound played dominoes and gin rummy and had a wonderful weekend. Will definitely be back. Appreciated the owner checking on us to make sure we weee safe

We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The view does not disappoint! My favorite part was sitting on the porch, reading and relaxing with the view. The cabin is pretty centrally located to visit many other areas. We had a blast in the game room challenging each other. Cabin had just about anything needed. Only recommendation would be when it comes time to replace the refrigerator, get one with an ice maker. We will come back in the fall so that we can use the new fire pit area and the fireplace.

We fell in love with this charming cabin at first sight! The views off of the back porch were amazing! The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking and exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was very clean and the decor was so charming. My only complaint was there was not a full length mirror to check out your outfit (which is a must) haha....but, I fixed that with a quick trip to Walmart. The book with all instructions for the cabin and lists of things to do and restaurant recommendations was great and very helpful. The welcome basket was a very nice touch. We will definitely stay here again!

We recently had a wonderful stay at this cozy, clean and nicely decorated cabin. The tub was amazing with wonderful views to unwind after a day of hiking. It is centralized with restaurants, shops nearby and lots of waterfall places to choose from. Really enjoyed the thoughtful welcome binder with all the info needed and recommendations of things to do for our stay. We are a family of five with 3 girls (10,15,17) and we all absolutely enjoyed it! My only recommendation would be to change the inside shower curtain rod upstairs that kept falling off. Other than that, it was just perfect and would totally recommend it!!!

This little house feels so secluded and like it’s totally removed from the world, but it’s just a few minutes drive into downtown Waynesville. It was the perfect size for our family of four, and our boys loved the arcade games, air hockey table, fire pit, and hot tub. My husband and I loved the porch- we had our morning coffee there every morning and watched the fog swirl on the mountaintop across the way. The landscaping with all the flowers and surrounding trees is beautiful. The bathrooms are very nicely updated, plenty of towels and space to put your toiletries. The beds were super comfortable, too. We had all the kitchen gear we needed- pans, pots, utensils, toaster, coffee maker that handles grounds and kcups. If I had to offer any critiques, the AC was great to cool down the house, but the bedrooms stayed a bit warmer- probably just the layout of the house. We didn’t turn it on until late in the evenings a couple nights because the main parts of the house stayed cool with just the porch door open. So if you’re there in the summer, turn it on a couple hours before bedtime and you’ll be great!

The value of the cabin per night isn’t bad for the size and location. However, when you pay a $500 host fee, you might have certain expectations of your rental. The light switches are difficult to locate, the host provides no directions nor flashlights. The floors of the cabin are dirty and my feet and my children’s feet became gray in color from walking on the floors 30 minutes after bath time. The downstairs bathroom had toilet paper left underneath the sink. The fridge and freezer takes a while to cool and lunch meat went bad in the fridge because it seemed to not be cooling correctly. When I pulled out the sofa couch in the living room, the fitted sheets had dirt and stains. When I pulled out the play pen I requested, which still had the tag in the bag and appear new, there were dirty fitted sheets with more stains. Even though you have such a high host fee, your still expected to complete around 11 cleaning rules before leaving. If your staying 5 days, your only left with two trash bags and not allowed to put the trash outside in anything except more trash bags and 3 people are only provided 4 towels, one of which already had stains on it. Furthermore, there’s an unsafe spot on the glass screen door. When I entered the house, my Sandler caught on an open sharp spot, and I badly bruised and cut my heel. I was only glad this happened to me and not a child. The pool/ hockey table is unclean and the equipment is pretty worn down which is also understandable given this is a r

Excellent property that’s well appointed and location perfect! Best of a mountain cabin located close to everything. The hot tub was fantastic after long days of hiking. We were also super grateful to be able to bring our beloved dog. We found a wonderful doggy daycare for when we were out for the entire day. The wood burning fireplace was.

I have been staying in the mountains of NC in this area for 20 years. I have NEVER had such great experience. From reservation to check out it was absolutely flawless. The cabin is beautiful, clean, well appointed, and quiet. We enjoyed our stay so much, we will definitely rent here again. Only regret is we had so much planned for the weekend we didn't get to take advantage of just enjoying the cabin.

Great property with fantastic view. Quiet location, clean, comfortable and close to local activities including access to Blue Ridge Parkway. Owner’s rep was very responsive to a very minor issue. Definitely recommend.

The property and the views are great - elevation of 3,500 feet - sweeping views. The house was very clean and charming. The deck was large and was the place to be. The kitchen was outfitted with restraint - only the very basics provided, no can opener. Some maintenance is needed - handles on kitchen drawers pulled off frequently, half of the hot tub jets didn’t work. The owner was very responsive when we let her know. The living room, dining room, and porch furniture is in very good condition and comfortable. The beds, however, are not. The main floor bedroom has a queen bunk bed set up. The lower bed is literally on the floor, so if you are older, have knee problems or back problems, that bed is out. Likewise with those problems is the upper bunk bed which requires the use of the ladder. Upstairs is a second bed the likes of which I have never encountered. It is so soft it swallows you whole and makes turning over almost impossible. Getting out of that bed was nearly back breaking considering the frame is so high you have to swing your legs up and over the side, then somehow hoist yourself out of the stupid-soft mattress before your legs go numb. The house was great but until those beds are changed out I won’t be staying there again.
