"Very clean and spacious home with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The property grounds were beautiful with an expansive canopy of Oak Trees, and the lake is crystal clear and perfect for swimming. The only drawback was the nearby highway noise, but that usually subsided after 5:00pm."

Beautiful modern rustic barn located near state parks and Chain o Lakes.
10/10 Excellent
"Our group size was 17. Grandma, Grandpa, four families with a combined age range of 1-65. (oops, and two dogs!) This wonderful barn was the perfect size. Everyone had a comfortable room and it was spacious enough where if you needed to get away from the noise for a little privacy, you could easily do so. We really had a wonderful time and the host was extremely accommodating. The yard is large enough for multiple activities. Being in the country, the evenings was very quiet and with 8 grandkids, we could make all the noise we wanted without offending a neighbor because there are no neighbors. We enjoyed a bon fire every night. Only six miles from Waupaca, we rented a pontoon boat one afternoon on the chain of lakes. We enjoyed another day of swimming at Hartland State Park which also has an excellent hiking trail. Waupaca is a town of just over 6000 people and you wont have any trouble finding whatever supplies you need or places to eat. We took the whole group one afternoon to The Woods Family Restaurant. Excellent food, large entrees, and you won't believe the low cost! We had a great time and would not hesitate to rent the barn again."
LUXURY LOG HOME WITH YOUR PRIVATE DOCK ON THE CHAIN O LAKES
10/10 Excellent
"Pros:SpaciousCleanUpdated appliances, etc.Big DeckPlenty of seating inside and outClose to shoppingGarage space for one vehicle if neededgood communication from hostCons:Close to busy road, you will hear the trafficNot a lot of yard spaceVery Steep, rocky, backyard with no carved out path down to the fire pit (there is a deck fire pit, so not a big deal). There are some general maintenance things that should have been taken care of, especially since the house was supposed to have been inspected by a vrbo rep prior to our stay (according to property manager): multiple burnt out light bulbs. Both coffee makers didn't work properly. The sliding glass door from the dining room was very difficult to open and close, had to spend time cleaning the tracks just to make it somewhat manageable for the stronger people in the party to open, still very difficult. Basement TV was broken (screen cracked from pool balls I'm guessing). Loft pullout couch was broken so only could accommodate a child. Many broken or missing slats in the windows and some in the vertical blinds. These things should've been addressed but it appears as if they have been like that for some time.Keep in mind that the dock is about a 1/3 of a mile to walk, and it's all hill. We knew that coming in so I'm not docking anything for that, just want to remind people of this. Might be good to bring wagon, scooter, bike etc. to get items down to the boat/dock. Thank you for a great stay!"
