"Just a short pop from Calais and you're in another world. A relaxing location away from the hustle and bustle of life, yet not far away from interesting locations. The host, Lucie, was very helpful and kindly arranged a restaurant booking in Cassel at a restaurant she recommended. Although the weather wasn't great, we enjoyed a four night stay and visited Saint Omer, Cassel and it's beautiful gardens, La Couple and the Blockhaus, which we can highly recommend if you're interested in WW2. "This is the second time we have stayed and we found it just as good as the first time, a month ago. A lovely large room overlooking the canal, very clean, the only drawback being the small , steep set of stairs to the bathroom - a bit perilous in the middle of the night! Also, as I was finishing my shower in the morning the hot water suddenly ran out. The breakfast was wonderful - fresh bread, croissants, home made yoghurt, home made jam, and a homemade custard pie! "
