It's huge, plenty of space for our family of 12, 2 beautiful living rooms and an enormous dining table big enough gor us to all eat together. The apartments were decorated beautifully, with lots of attention to detail. Rooms were spacious and beds were really comfy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more! "The Retreat was the perfect place to stay in Windermere. It was stocked with everything I needed from an umbrella to salt, pepper and vegetable oil for cooking. The location was ideal. It was close to the train station and the Main Street. It was very quiet because it was on a little side street. I highly recommend it."

The only issues we had were firstly it took a while to find our apartment as although we were given instructions for parking there were no details provided of how to access the flat and we later found out that we had to cut through a restaurant. Not ideal. Also we found the property very hot and although the bedrooms had ceiling fans the lounges area did not and could get uncomfortably hot at times. Could...
