"We stayed in the Osprey room, a double room, very nicely refurbished. The bed was king sized and quite comfortable. Breakfasts were fine with a nice variety of food offered."

"Our room, on the first floor, was excellent with lovely views. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect."

"Our second stay at Jonathons property and how we look forward to our third. The quiet location, by a magical stream facing the mountains of Cumbria is devastatingly beautiful. I cannot emphasise enough just how tranquil, relaxing and mesmerising the natural beauty is. It's like something straight out of 'Wind in the Willows'. Jonathon is a gracious and friendly host who will bend over backwards to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. There are walking trails beginning right in front of the property and it's only a short drive to Keswick, a bustling market town with an excellent selection of shops, cafes and bars. The cottage itself is, whilst period stone on the outside, fully fitted with all mod cons on the inside. A well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, a log fireplace and a modern central heating system that keeps the place warm and dry, even on the wettest days. We had a marvellous stay and highly recommend it for others."
