"The rooms was great. The shower was FABULOUS! And we just LOVED this room. We were so sad to have to leave. The beds were so incredibly comfortable. "
"The best partnof this hotel is the onsen, very easy to use the private facility. The hotel is located quite a distance from the train station so it could be difficult to access depending on weather. However it was close to Toshogu shrine and the Kanmangafuchi Abyss was right next door. Highly recommend if you like relaxing in onsen waters."
"Really good value for money, Japan accommodation is not cheap. this was very good for our family. Private Onsen is a nice touch too. Definitely recommend."
"Staff was fantastic and good food for breakfast and dinner. Very pleasant experience. But the area is pretty remote and would love to have more transportation options around the area. But still accessible via public transportation and very fun. "
"Hotel is a bit off the beaten tourist track, but worth it for a quiet visit. Great value for money and the host is so kind!! I was traveling solo and felt very welcome and safe. Easy walk to the abyss. By far one of the best dinners and breakfasts I had in Japan!!"

"A nice, clean hotel conveniently located very close to the station. The top floor offers a lovely view, and the simple breakfast was a good start to the day. Overall, a comfortable stay for one night in Nikko."
"We really enjoyed staying here, the onsen was so relaxing and beautiful. Some of the staff were very nice and sweet, others were kind of rude. Its also very quiet and safe around the hotel so we liked that. It was hard to find a restaurant within 20 minutes walking that was open for dinner, but we met a sweet auntie who told us where to find good food. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Kinugawa"

"Super charming little hotel near the river surrounded by lush trees and mountains. It’s an older place but it adds to the charm. The room was clean and the area is super walkable to all main attractions. And close to the bus stop for the attractions further away. "
"The oldest Western-style hotel in Japan. Beautiful elegant building and old world charm - a welcome change from the ultra modern hotels prevalent in Japan. Would thoroughly recommend."
"This place was a Mom & Pop operation with a very familial atmosphere. Ken and Ise were very welcoming and helpful with helping us get settled, finding our way around Nikko and just generally friendly and helpful. If you're interested in a more homey atmosphere vs. Corporate hotel this is the place for you
