"A group of family/friends enjoyed our stay at this house for the ECU Regional Baseball Tournament. It was an easy 20 minute drive to the ballpark. The house had 5 spacious bedrooms and plenty of living space for everyone to gather. The patio/sunroom area was a nice area for the early risers to catch up while others slept in undisturbed. We enjoyed a short walk 1/2 mile to town where there is a brewery and a couple of restaurants. The house has plenty of parking with dual driveways on both sides...

"This is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The views of the river are so soothing, and the neighborhood deliciously quiet. The owners were responsive & helpful when we ran into an internet problem. Kitchen is minimal but I didn't go there to cook ;-) We had fun exploring the nearby towns (Bath and Washington) and the wildlife reserves, but the best part was just sitting on the deck and breathing."

"We often visit Washington to go fishing on the Pamlico. We usually make it a day trip. We wanted to stay for a few days with our dogs and booked the Sterling House. It was a relief to find a place that allows dogs, first of all. The house was clean. I loved the character of the house. The view was amazing and peaceful. I would definitely recommend booking a stay here."

The decor is tasteful, the home very comfortable, and Melissa was very attentive and responsive. We had one issue upon check in but Melissa was quick to respond and resolve it. "Very special property nearly surrounded by water. It's immaculately clean & well-appointed. Bring your kayak, canoe or boat! The restaurants in downtown Belhaven (esp. Bistro 1904 & The Mad Batter) are comparable to the best in any big city I've visited!"
