"My husband and I took a weekend trip to Luray. The Hillside Motel was a nice place to stay. It was close to Luray Caverns and some other places we wanted to visit. The employee that checked us in, Samantha, was very friendly and helpful! The rooms were standard and very clean. The decor is outdated and it could use some upgrading but it is obvious they take care in the motel. I would have no issues staying here again. "

"Overall this is a great place and very convenient for going to Shenandoah. The only aspect where I thought things were lacking was the cleaning, as there was a bag of trash left hanging from the door and there was no shampoo. I didn’t discover the missing shampoo until it was too late to do anything about it, which was unfortunate because I really wanted to wash my hair."

"Bare bones, but perfectly adequate hotel if you just want a bed, a hot shower and a little TV (didn’t check the WIFI, but Verizon worked fine in the room anyway). Easy parking, friendly front desk person. I’d stay again. (Fridge and microwave were also handy). "

"It’s a roadside motel. Extremely cheap. For the price- it was excellent. Beds comfortable enough. Not enough towels. No toiletries besides soap. NO COFFEE MAKER. That was strange. BUT the room was big and had fridge and microwave. Overall very happy. "

"Once again…. a wonderful, peaceful time! We brought our dog with us this time and he had a blast! Toured some wineries and just a short drive for some amazing food. Coffee on the porch and outside fires at night are the best. Already booked next year to come back with friends! "

"Great spot for our girls getaway! Very remote with fantastic views. Front deck was wonderful for morning coffee and sunset watching! Definitely requires a truck or SUV for the road up. Lots of extra towels and plenty of space for all! Great spot! "
