Had a really great two night stay at The Baron hotel. It had everything I needed and the people working the front desk and the comedy club were very nice. The hotel itself is pretty modest but for me the most important thing was that it was well kept and within walking distance of embassies, museums and the beautiful Georgetown neighbourhood. It’s also very close to a Trader Joe’s and plenty of bars and restaurants around Dupont Circle. I really couldn’t have asked for more.

I enjoyed my stay at the Baron Hotel! It's in a great location, and the comedy club and bier baron tavern that are part of the building have great vibes. I was able to leave my suitcase with the front desk and explore the area before my check in time. I even got to check in a little early which I appreciated because I was tired after my red eye flight. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The staff was great, however I want to make a special mention for Steven he find the time to talk and make you feel welcome, he was able to direct me to do a self guided tour and he was really helpful and Knowledgeable in everything. I believe he should be the employee of the Month.

As a bare bones hotel it was good for the price. Clean and great beds. But there was no chest or anywhere to put clothes other than a small hanging area. No closet. If you have any mobility issues be aware of the steep steps to enter the building. Cage elevator hardly fits two people and a suitcase. Day shift staff were not very efficient. All that said, it was clean, safe and the night person was lovely.

The staff were very friendly and nice. The hotel room was clean and very comfortable. It’s in a great location to try out restaurants or sightseeing downtown. Parking is struggling during the week due to 2 hr parking regulation (READ THE SIGNS AND PAY). Will definitely book again.

There's a lot of history in that building but the staff was excellent. Also, it has a bar/restaurant and a spot for comedy shows. One stop location for sleep and fun. 7 minutes away from the Dupont Metro.

The hotel was old but quirky! The staff was very nice and helpful and the room, while dated, was very clean. The location felt very safe and it was close to a metro stop. We would stay here again. It was a great value considering the insanely expensive alternatives in the D.C. area!

This is a great hotel if you are going to the comedy show, which is what we did. The staff at the bar and the comedy club were so friendly. It is a older hotel but has alot of charm. We enjoyed it.

For the location and price you really can’t beat it. It’s an older hotel, but that adds to the mystique. It’s also connected to bar that often features top comedians. In staying there this last week the AC was a blessing! The staff there is amazing and my room was cleaned well after returning from work. The Baron Hotel is an A+ in my book!

Had a great stay. Room was small but clean, seemed recently renovated. Nice bathroom, nice "comfy" bed, good cable channels. Very nice, quiet and safe neighborhood. Metro nearby. Helpful staff, especially Sunny, very nice girl with a "bubbly" personality. No major complaints. Only stayed 5 nights out of 7 on my reservation due to an emergency back home. Would hope that Expedia would give me a credit for those 2 nights I had to cancel (very much doubt it).

The Baron is an old-style property, with well-worn facilities. It's not luxurious, though the bed was comfortable enough and the wifi and shower worked well. There are no coffee or similar facilities in the room, although there's an urn of coffee and a kettle for tea in reception. All rooms have individual aircon/heating units, mounted at waist height - in mine it was very close to the bed and would have been unpleasantly noisy at night, so maybe the hotel is best avoided in the height of summer or mid-winter - in October it wasn't a problem although I could easily hear the units from neighboring rooms. Access to the building is up a flight of steps, which could prove difficult for anyone with mobility problems. On the plus side, it's competitively priced for a hotel in Washington, and conveniently located for the metro (about 10 minutes' walk from Dupont Circle) in an area that feels safe enough at night, although there is a cannabis dispensary almost next door with some odd characters outside. It's also close to a Capital Bikeshare stand (though one without a kiosk, so you need to be able to use the app.) It's not suitable if you want to park a car.
