"Lovely piece of property off Hwy 1 right outside Camden and close to Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park! Room was spacious with convenient parking. Breakfast was fabulous, dropped at the door each more at your specified time. Was able to do a load of laundry when we first arrived. We were early but purchased a bottle of wine in the lobby and sat on the porch while waiting on laundry and room. Very nice staff."

The hosts were lovely, and the gourmet 3 course breakfast served daily was simply amazing. The home was charming, and cozy and filled with everything that made the stay delightful. Walking across the street to a lobster dinner on the water was an added bonus. We’d love to return to the Spouter Inn. "

"We were looking for kayak-friendly owners and property, and scored on both! Sweet spot in a protected cove, access to other coves, islands and river nearby, and open ocean 3 miles south. Easy launching from their dock and a dedicated float that allows easy in and out. Shannon and Gil are great hosts; they arranged lobster from son’s catch one day and cooked it for us!
