"Loved the room, it was a comfy bed and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were helpful, chatty and very welcoming. We had breakfast most days and lunch on the day we didn’t in the pub downstairs and Alex even remembered what sauce we liked! "I had a 4 night break to explore the countryside in South Devon and Malborough is close enough to the sea to be able to walk there without needing a car which I wanted and it is near a bus stop so you can go by train which I did. You can see some of the more out of the way places by foot which are not commercialised and there are plenty of footpaths and lanes to get around. there are a lot of options for walking and day trips.I had a single room which was economical with a newly refurbished...

"There is a guest book at the Rock Inn which dates back to 1903 and it chronicles the experiences of the people who vacationed there. After reading through it one has to agree that it is a special place. We had a lovely stay at the Rock Inn. Our room was cosy with a comfy bed. We booked our meals in because the food is superb and the service friendly and attentive. We look forward to going back."
