"Though this isn't a 5-star luxury hotel, it was clear to us there are people behind Hotel Leonardo who really put the effort in with the hotel. First, the location is great, just across from the lovely main Leeuwarden train station and a moment away from the Love Fountain, with its ethereal beauty. From what I understand it is one of the 11 Fountains Project. Best to ask ahead where to find the parking entrance. Once you find this, it's great the hotel has very convenient and secure underground...

"It was SO hot when we were in the Netherlands, so our large, cool room with a nice big bathroom was just what we needed after driving up from Amsterdam! The staff were lovely and very helpful. It was also great to be able to go downstairs and have such a delicious dinner. The breakfast was pretty good also. It's a good location if you want a bigger hotel experience while exploring this part of the country. The parking building is slightly confusing, so make sure you get good instructions for...
