"This lodge was the quintessential home to bring our children and grandchildren to celebrate Christmas and make family memories. So beautifully arranged in every room to invite people to share stories, play pool, cook, play cards, and laugh together. Our family of 15 felt as though they each had their own space plus ample opportunities to engage in activities without bothering others. We loved the large outdoor space where the littles learned to snowmobile, sled and play in the snow. It seemed as though we were “coming home”. We will be returning to this magical retreat."

"It was very rustic which we loved, there were no lights around outside so the stars were magnificent. Get your directions before you go because our GPS would not work due to lack of cell service in the area and we had to stop three times to get directions from locals. WE loved it and will be going back soon for sure. "

"French Creek Inn was a most pleasant stay. With the Salmon River across the road and French Creek to our side, it was relaxing and comfortable. The owners were A+ in all details, and comfort. I have been coming to the Salmon River for 35 years plus to camp. gold prospecting, hiking, hunting, river raft, jet boat and as always when leaving I need to come back. The cabin had all the necessities. very peaceful. Will hopefully re-schedule another visit to French Creek Inn in 2024 for at least 1-2 weeks. You want to relax come visit the Salmon River country."

"The only problem I had was the check in process. I believe this is a VRBO problem. Let me explain. I made the reservation and received the confirmation. The confirmation did not contain any address of the property or the door code. We were traveling in areas that had no internet access. Because I knew where the property was from a previous stay 21 years ago I arrived at the property with no idea how to get in. So back to Elk City I rode to get a wifi connection. This time when I logged in, viola, there was the information I needed. Maybe I missed something along the way. In any event once I got the check in information the rest of the stay was great! I the property was exactly what I expected, but remember I was there 21 years ago. Great Cabin setting 5 miles outside of Elk City, Idaho."

"Nice little place, and perfect for what we needed. There were only three of us staying here, but there were 7 beds, including fold-outs, plus a good-sized couch and chair, so it could easily handle more people if needed. It was nicer than we were expecting for such a rural area. Definitely use the GPS coordinates to get there. They will take you directly there, but this cabin is one of several in a group, and you need to drive past a semi-industrial looking area to get to this cabin and one other. Just follow the GPS."
