"I have stayed at Tara Mantra many times as it is a lovely friendly and very comfortable hotel. I stayed a week with friends and we all felt relaxed and made to feel very welcome. My only criticism is that the cooked items in the buffet breakfast are mainly cold even early in the service. "

"This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. Overall this hotel is very nice and just a hop to the beach (if you can stand the heat). There is a nice small restaurant you can eat at with reasonable prices. Drink prices are just a little on the expensive side. The pool area is very nice with ample seating although very few people seem to sit out int he heat. The main clientele of the hotel seem to be Thai nationals. "Delightful staff. Helpful in the extreme though their English is minimal. A lovely peaceful spot right on the wide sandy beach. Not a lot around and no good restaurants but the chef at Verano Beach is pretty good so, though we had a car, we ate in the hotel every night under the stars. Large, colonial rooms all in white have all the usual amenities but they are a tiny bit tired. Didn't put us off though and we hope to return."

"Golf excellent 2X18 holes and quite busy BUT none of the golfers stayed in the hotel. The hotel was run down. There was a large group of teenagers saying so it felt more like a youth hostel. The rooms are big but tired and furniture falling to bits. The bathroom was mouldy, the balcony was filthy and the chairs too, we asked for clean ones and they simply covered the chairs in towels.
