"The room was large and comfortable. King size bed with pull out couch. Modern. Breakfast was average. Staff was nice and helpful. Location was perfect!"

"The property is beig renovated, so things are a bit shuffled right now. the "front lobby" is at the end of a hall, but they were adapting and doing the job! The breakfast was excellent. I stayed out too late to go to the pool, but it's 24 hours, and the space was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance!"

"Our family stayed in the Lacey Holiday Inn Express for 10 days. Overall the experience was positive except the first night. We were traveling across the country and got in late at night (equivalent of 1am where had just flown from). The woman at the desk was rude and asked us twice 'why are you even here', demonstrating a lack of professionalism and clear disdain for the area. Since we were a large family, we had booked 2 connecting rooms and I had spoken with the manager 2 weeks ahead of time to confirm. However, this didn't happen the first night since the people that were in one of the connecting rooms stayed an extra night. The hotel should have honored our reservation and placed the people in a different room (there was no reason why they needed that specific room - it wasn't the handicap accessible one). It took forever chatting through options as my exhausted family waited patiently in the lobby, but we finally ended up in 2 non-connecting rooms. For how awful the woman was the first night, the lady at the desk in the morning was very helpful; she said if the people stayed another night she would move them (perfect!). She offered us water and was very professional with a smile. The breakfast was excellent (pancake machine, cinnamon rolls, toast/English muffins/bagels, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, and rotating options of eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, biscuit w gravy). The pool was clean and had a shower. Parking was a bit tight in evenings but we always found a spot."

"The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable about where to go for hikes and to see the sites. We are in our 60's so when we walked in and saw all the antiques, books, and board games in the main area, it was a blast from the past. This is not a modern hotel but a place to truly unwind and unplug. My husband and I took a ParkerBrothers game up to our room because there's no television. I loved it! The dining area was beautifully appointed, The owners were weeks away from the kitchen up and running, so we had to eat locally. They provided coffee and pastries in the morning, and had a Brita available to fill our glasses and take to our room. We were given a room at the very back of the third floor, farthest away from the bathroom on that floor (there were bathrooms down the stairs on the second floor that were probably closer, but I didn't want to do that in the middle of the night - I could have mentioned it to the owner at the time.) I imagine it was meant to be the most quiet and private room, which it was. The antique dresser was gorgeous and had local history. The bed was small for 2 people but super comfortable. There was a small porcelain sink for us to brush teeth and we were glad to have it for a quick cleanup after a hot day. There is a small closet with hangers. For us, we loved the age of the house and the excellent condition of the wooden doors, floors, and the property in general. Kudos to the owners!"

"Definitely will be going back. Staff was kind and room and premises clean. The only reason I gave a 4 was due to a person who said they were checking in by the front desk. This person had a pitbull off its leash and then got extremely agitated with me when i asked him if he could put the dog on a leash. So while I felt safe for most of the time there, the last few minutes could have gone bad very quickly. I kept myself calm and quickly gave the employee my pass key to the room and left. Thinking someone should be at the desk when the coffee and breakfast items are out."
