Decided to change my booking to an Executive room which was more spacious and worth the difference. The hotel has a lovely ambience. Had some friends come round as part of birthday celebrations. Pool not available due to refurbishment but was told in advance & didn’t spoil our stay."

"Breakfast at The Lock was lovely. Our room was very clean and had a great view of the canal. It really close to many places to eat and just next to the station. This is the second time we have stayed here. "

"You had a good variety of food for breakfast. My bed was comfy but my sons bed was abit hard. The cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff made up for that. "

"Great hotel with brilliant facilities! Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a red hot week and the AC didn’t work in my room so it was very hot. Fans not available. Room was well decorated but needed some TLC and maintenance- I can imagine that due to great facilities and service that the hotel is often full with little time to decorate etc Food portions great - kids meals were massive Strange to pay for parking when you are essentially on a service park where parking wouldn’t be abused due to location? "
