"It was fantastic! Honestly I cannot fault it, the only thing I’d suggest is a thin mattress topper so that you can’t feel the buttons on the mattress. Staff were lovely, everything in the room you could want. I appreciated the little bottle of semi skimmed milk in the fridge, and bottles of water!"

"Lovely staff, lovely room but total utter disaster of a stay!!! I’ve travelled ALOT! This has to be the worst room EVER!!!! What seemed like right on top of a karaoke bar! I had earplugs but you could still feel the base thumping through the floor until midnight! I may aswell have gone down stairs & tried to sleep on the dance floor!!!"

The breakfast buffet bar simply groaned with a huge range of cold food and drinks and there was a good menu for cooked alternatives. "We was in room 6 it was a nice big room and was clean the only negative was the room was above the pub entrance so we heard all the people coming & going and in the celling of the room was a bright green emergency exit light that lit up the room all night & the mattress wasn’t very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t that great but other than that for a one night pre holiday night stop it was fine "

"We came from Australia to be central to family for 6 nights. This amazing inn felt like home and the staff were so lovely and welcoming along with the food being amazing. Our room was very cosy and felt relaxing after long days out. I would stay here again as I have never felt so relaxed after a long flight from the Uk! Julie the landlady is so kind and caring looking after her guests! 100/10! Highly recommend!"

"Staff were very polite and helpful both in the hotel and restaurant. Our room was ok, stains on the headboard and carpet. Lampshades cracked and peeling, the bed was very soft. Bathroom was adequate and plenty of hot water. Some TLC to these rooms and this place would be amazing. Saying that we would stay again"

"The location of the hotel is stunning, with great views from the top of Leith. Very, very quiet surroundings. The room was comfortable but with repairs needed to furniture and equipment. Food was good quality but be prepared for a wait. An interesting stay!"
