"Very well equipped accommodation. Great base for exploring the area. Beamish museum very close and well worth a visit. Also close enough to visit Newcastle, can get metro so don't have to drive in, Hadrians wall, Derwent water. Lot of places to visit. Good location if doing Great North Run."

"It was not the best looking area so understand why no pictures of the exterior, it was a quiet area though and very close to amenities.Interior thought was good. The main issue was the floor in the bathroom, the floor is lifting and uneven, we also had a problem getting the shower to work, the “thingy” that you pull up to divert the water from tap to shower was really hard. Lastly 6 bags of garden rubbish appeared in the front garden yesterday. ?? Were from but a bit concerning. Instructions on...

"Flat was spacious, but dated, and is located in an undesirable area. Cleanliness was generally okay but decor etc could do with upgrading and flat may benefit from being aired regularly. We got the impression that it had been a while since the windows had been opened."

"We had a wonderful stay at Settlers lodge. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped! Loved seeing the squirrels around the garden! Set in a great area for walking and exploring. "Not at at all the property portrayed on the Internet. A few good features, but mainly tired and in need of renovation. Awful location...late night disturbances outside property late at night. Would never return to this property again. I would expect a response from Vrbo!"

"Lovely property but needs a little TLC. For instance curtain in lounge half hanging off, no lock for front bathroom door, loads of lightbulbs not working, video game not working holes in wall in bathroom and one of the bedrooms. Having said this the beds were comfortable, lots of space for 10 people and hot tub a great bonus. Nothing to spoil the holiday but just a few niggles."
