"Pheasant Lodge is simply outstanding. The property is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by established trees and only about 7 minutes from Mapua.The quality of the home, the decor, all of the supplies is first class. Everything you could possibly think of is provided. We felt so at home and so relaxed. We will definitely return. Colleen and Alby were such wonderful hosts and this property is a credit to their hard work. "

"My husband and I loved this accommodation!!! Perfect morning coffee and evening wine views. Great close location to Abel Tasman and beaches. Steph provided everything one could possibly need in an absolutely gorgeous cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay"

"Lovely comfortable warm home. Welcoming touch of fresh eggs and milk. Felt at home being on the farm. Enjoyed the company of horses nearby with a 5 minute walk to the Wairau river. Lots of close walks nearby. A hidden treasure. Love to come back."

"Great place to stay! Excelent room in a serene location with views of the hills and valley. The property has beautiful grounds filled with many types of fruit trees and flower gardens. Helpful, friendly hosts."

"It was unfortunate that we had heavy rain and the roof leaked. The whole place was damp and the carpet spelt of wet dog. We arrived to a mouse in the kitchen, and the ants moved in overnight. The managers were thoughtful and responsive, however, the place was really not fit for living. Sorry, wasn’t cheap either. All very disappointing."
