A mountain retreat surrounded by the lush Vermont woods, Ellen’s Edge is .5 miles from Sugarbush Resort at Mt. Ellen and less than 5 miles from Mad River Glen. Ellen’s Edge features 5 bedrooms sleeping 15, a large dining space and living room with a fireplace. The “Adrenaline Zone” entertains with basketball, air hockey, foosball, an arcade table and a 75” tv theater area. A personal gym will keep you adventure ready before heading to relax outside on the backyard deck to enjoy the hot tub!

My goal is for my guests to have a positive experience. Your stay is private and I will be available to address any inquiries through the AirBNB platform during your visit. I ask my guests to allow a one hour response time, however I am diligent with being as prompt as possible. Safety is always a priority.

Ellen’s Edge is a private and conveniently located just minutes from Sugarbush’s Mt. Ellen Resort and Mad River Glen. Downtown Waitsfield is easily and quickly accessible from this home. Skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, biking, nature walks and mountain adventures are readily near this property. This area is directly on the trail network and only a short distance to popular swimming holes. Nearby are some of the Valley’s popular wedding venues and well known restaurants/breweries such as American Flatbread and Lawson’s Finest Liquids!

Guests will have access to the entire home, hot tub and shed for storage.

Ellen’s Edge is a relaxed atmosphere featuring many areas to kick back and enjoy your vacation while also having plenty of activities to do “in house”. Check-in via the electronic key pad and then spend time snuggled in front of the fireplace or outdoor fire table, relaxing in the hot tub or playing one of the many activities featured in the Game Room. Should you be looking to continue your routine, a personal home gym is available for you during your stay. The 5 separate rooms and various spaces provide privacy while allowing togetherness. For the smallest of guests, a Pack N Play and feeding booster are available during your stay. The home sleeps a maximum of 15. Other items available to make your experience more comfortable include a washer, dryer, hair dryers, iron, ironing board and a Keurig Duo coffee maker.

Parking: In the summer there is space for 5 cars and 4 cars are the max in the winter to allow for plowing. A car is generally necessary to get around the Mad River Valley and in the winter, a vehicle with all wheel drive is strongly recommended. Limited taxing services are available. In the winter Green Mountain Transit offers a free shuttle bus to transport you around the Mad River Valley. The house guidebook has local restaurants, shops, attractions and tips.

Guests will be provided linens, bathroom towels, hot tub towels, toilet paper and hand soap. Guests will need to bring their own personal toiletries along with any disposable kitchen products they may need (paper plates, Saran Wrap, etc.). Air conditioning is installed on the 2nd floor foyer and cools from the top down in addition to a whole home air exchange.
