This is a 7-bedroom holiday home for 18 people in the beautiful Belgian countryside of Waimes. It has a large swimming pool, sauna, and offers a host of recreational activities like foosball, billiards, and boules.

Long walks, bicycle rides, fishing, horse riding, and skiing are some of the activities you can engage in nearby. There is a lake 10 km from the house. The historical towns of Malmedy and Stavelot are 8 and 16 km away, respectively. F1 enthusiasts can go to Francorchamps circuit 18 km away. Bij ons verblijf in het huis stuitten we op een aantal problemen die onze ervaring hebben beïnvloed. 1. Zwembad: • De schuifdeur naar het zwembad was erg zwaar en moeilijk te openen en te sluiten. Dit maakte het gebruik ervan onhandig. • Voor het boeken heb ik via de chat contact gehad met Belvilla en specifiek gevraagd of het zwembad verwarmd was. Het antwoord was ja, maar helaas bleek dit niet het geval te zijn. Het water was ijskoud. • Daarnaast was de chloorconcentratie in het zwembad zo hoog dat onze ogen brandden en erg rood werden. 2. Hygiëne: • Na gebruik van de jacuzzi hebben we allemaal last gekregen van folliculitis, een infectie die, volgens onze arts, veroorzaakt is door onvoldoende gedesinfecteerd water in het zwembad of de jacuzzi. Dit was erg vervelend en zorgde voor ongemak tijdens ons verblijf. 3. Voorzieningen: • Bij aankomst waren er geen basismiddelen aanwezig zoals wc-papier, handzeep of wasmiddel. Dit was opvallend, omdat in vergelijkbare huizen dergelijke huishoudelijke producten doorgaans wel beschikbaar zijn. Ik hoop dat deze punten onder de aandacht worden gebracht bij de huismeester, zodat ze in de toekomst verbeterd kunnen worden.

Was für ein Juwel auf dem Land! Die Lage war idyllisch und wir haben die angebotenen Freizeitaktivitäten sehr genossen. Die Sauna war eine wunderbare Möglichkeit, nach unseren Erlebnissen zu entspannen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und sorgten dafür, dass es uns während unseres Aufenthalts an nichts fehlte.

Ein sehr schönes großes Anwesen mit einem vom Haupthaus getrennten Poolhaus. Das Haus war sauber und ordentlich. Die Ausstattung der Küche, die m.E. ganz neu eingebaut wurde, war sehr gut. Lediglich die Anzahl und Auswahl an Gläsern für den täglichen Bedarf war etwas dürftig. Das Haus mit der angrenzenden Terrasse und dem Garten ist hell und freundlich und sehr schön geschnitten. Ein direkter Übergang zwischen dem Haupthaus und dem Nebenhaus, zu dem Spielzimmer und weiteren zwei Schlafzimmern ist leider nicht vorhanden. Kleine Mängel, wie z.B. wackelige Stühle, schwergängige Poolhaustür oder ähnliches zeigen auf, dass das Haus bewohnt wird. Man kann erkennen das der Vermieter bemüht ist alles in Ordnung zu halten (siehe neue Küche). Ich hatte Bedenken wegen der sprachlichen Barriere, da der Vermieter nur französisch spricht und ich leider nur eine Begrüßung hinbekomme. Aber das verlief sehr entspannt und war sogar teilweise etwas lustig. Mit Gesten, Google und zeigen verlief alles reibungslos. Auf Anfragen per WhatsApp hat der Vermieter sehr schnell reagiert. Ich kann die Kritik, dass der Vermieter unfreundlich sei, nicht bestätigen. Wer ein neues perfektes Haus in Hochglanzfolie, in dem man sich nicht traut zu leben, der sollte sich ein anderes Objekt suchen. Allen anderen kann ich das Haus und auch die Umgebung nur empfehlen.

Het was een heel tegenvallend verblijf dit jaar. Het huis is verouderd, was verre van proper (spinnenwebben, doodgeslagen insecten aan de verlichting, losse plinten, etc). Het zwembadwater was veel te koud voor de kids ondanks de warme temperaturen, er was veel te veel chloor in de jacuzzi waardoor het prikte in de ogen, de zekering van de sauna viel constant uit waardoor we ook hier geen gebruik konden van maken.. kortom.. een jammerlijke zaak voor het vele geld dat we betaald hebben. Het enige positieve was de mooie streek.

Pas de sauna ( non fonctionnel) comme prévu, nous avions choisi ce logement spécialement pour le sauna. La piscine était pas chauffée comme décrire dans l’annonce. L’eau était maximum 19 degré je dirai. La quantité de chlore nous semblait trop importante car dès que nous rentrons dans l’eau, les yeux piquaient très fortement. Aussi les enfants ont eu des irritations un peu partout après la piscine, du coup ils n’ont plus voulu y aller. Le bain à bulles était pas entretenu car dès que nous l’avons mis en route, il y a avait de l’odeur d’égout assez fort dans tout le réz de chaussée. Sinon le jacuzzi était bien, l’endroit calme et bien sécurisé

We waren om half 4 aanwezig mochten nog niet in het huis dat begrijp ik nog wel volgens de info mochten we er pas om 4 uur in maar uiteindelijk maakte de eigenaar om kwart over 4 de poort open leek wel wat kinderlijk pestgedrag. Lastig dat eigenaar alleen maar Frans kan deed geen enkele moeite zich in Engels of Duits verstaanbaar te maken, terwijl je daar in de hele regio veel Duits hoort. Accommodatie was op zich prima maar wel heel erg gedateerd op de foto ziet het er mooier uit dan in het echt, verder waren er gordijnen op een paar slaapkamers die niet goed functioneerden. Opvallend was dat er in het hele huis maar een nog minder dan half rolletje wc papier was. Heel vervelend als je aankomt en het eerste wat je bijna moet doen is een winkel zoeken om wc papier te kopen. Verder moesten we bij weggaan de toeristenbelasting cash betalen, niet te achterhalen of deze ook afgedragen wordt. Nadeel was ook dat er geen enkele mogelijkheid tot scheiden van afval was, ook geen enkele vuilniszak aanwezig. Huis is best prijzig en dan mag je toch wel wat basis dingen verwachten zoals wc papier en vuilniszak

We waren met 4 kleine kinderen en 11 volwassenen. Het huis was ruim genoeg en teveel om te doen met zwembad, sauna, bubbelbad, een heerlijk ruime tuin en nog een spelruimte bij het gastenverblijf op de bovenverdieping. Even wennen dat die een aparte ingang heeft, maar dat slaapt ook wel rustig. Vriendelijke joviale gastheer. t verhaal van de Duitse gast klopt volgens ons niet. Je betaalt alleen de energie die je verbruikt hebt bij. Met zo'n zwembad en sauna etc. loopt dat wel op. We waren voor een lang weekeinde incl toeristenbelasting een kleine 100 eur kwijt. 1000 eur borg in contant vonden we wel wat onpraktisch, maar goed, je krijgt t wel terug. En we hebben uitgebreid van het zwembad genoten. Oh ja, zelf hout meenemen voor de open haard. Fietsroute direct achter de tuin. En bij de stuwdam op 12 km fantastische wandelingen.
