"The staff is excellent throughout the property. The pools are great. The workout facility needs an upgrade, but was glad there was one on the property. Happy hour is good especially since it is available twice a day. Once at the outdoor bar and again at the inside bar. We would definitely stay at the Outrigger again."

"The staff and property are amazing, but the location ended up being the best part. Kauai is beautiful everywhere, but the north shore area around HCR really takes the cake! Great, quiet beaches and a variety of things to do close by (but HCR is also far enough away that you don't feel like you're in a heavy tourism area). The shuttle service makes getting around easy but the staff also has good local knowledge/tips if you want to drive yourself. Don't think we'll stay anywhere else on Kauai now...

"This was our first time to any of the Hawaiian Islands and we are glad we picked Kauai. We rented a car and went on adventures every day and still had time to relax in the pool and hot tub at the end of each day. Our 2 bedroom unit was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed and we were glad for the use of the BBQs. All in all it was a wonderful experience."

"Absolutely loved the view and the unit is SO cute!!! We had an issue with cockroaches two nights in a row even after following the rules (no open food.. etc). It was after hours Seth replied relatively quickly and got someone out the next day to put traps out. But we already just felt uncomfortable. The day before we received a message about check in fees. (extra fees, check in fee, parking fee and resort fee) that was not disclosed until the day before arrival. Bathroom fan did not work,...

"The only thing that was annoying is that the kitchen is very bare bones. Buying spices, olive oil is just not necessary in most rentals."

"Yes, the property could use some updating, but what property doesn't if it's not brand new... we have two very minor complaints.. 1. we could have used a microwave in the room.. 2. we did not understand that we were a "private" property, so when we needed more coffee and toilet paper, were told to call our private housekeeper.... When she showed up at the door, she seemed very perturbed that we couldn't get our own?? But other than that.. we had a Terrific Time!! and can't wait to go back!!"

"This was my sixth time staying at Waipouli Beach Resort and the second time to stay in this unit, and I couldn't have been happier. The unit and property were clean and quiet, and I felt at home. As with my previous stay, the owners were readily available via messaging to answer any questions I may have had during my stay. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to stay here again!"

"We loved our stay, the room was clean and well stocked with towels, beach chair, umbrella, cooler and beach towels. Loved the two chairs on the lanai, had our breakfast out there every morning. Easy walk to the beach, nice pool and hot tubs. Recommend staying here and we will stay here again when we come back!"

"Condo was nice and clean, with upscale decor. There was a supply of extra things like spices and coffee filters, tea, etc. That is always nice when you are cooking. Extra things for small children needs like booster and bed, toys, etc. We added to that supply with some beach / pool toys and a booster step stool. Condo could use extra towels, especially in the kitchen area! No dishcloths and only 3 hand towels there. I would love to see a guest book or info with good eateries and hidden gems...

"There isn't a ton to do around here and it was raining but the property itself is clean and cozy and if you were able to go hike it would be an awesome location to stay. It was too rainy for us to do much of anything but the property was great!"

"It was good for our one night stop over. Steep on price for an old hotel… but the people working here are nice, rooms, rooms were clean and the pools were nice. Hate carpet in old hotels and the pull out was beyond uncomfortable. "
