Gorgeous ground floor unit with views of the water over the golf course. Comfy beds, very strong central AC, well-equipped kitchen, full W/D, & very clean. Garage has some beach supplies, although backpack chairs are pretty beat up. Good shades in bedrooms to keep out early morning sun if you enjoy sleeping in. Two things to note: locking lanai door is tricky. You have to pull handle straight up in order to turn the lock. Also, showers get turned on by pulling handle out, then rotating for temp.

Our First Stay with Family @ Hali’i Kai

Hali’i Kai 9H is a very nicely appointed ground-floor corner unit. With three bedrooms, it served our family very well. Furnishings and artwork are nicer than the other units that we’ve stayed at here.

Great condo, awesome views and location. Super tripCouple of minor issues. Power outlets on lanai did not work. No pot holders in kitchen so had to make towels work. How to lock lanai door is not intuitive. Should provide explicit directions. Other than these minor item, fantastic

Great Place!

We have stayed at multiple properties in Halii Kai, but actually liked this one the best for our family of four adults. It was really nice to have a ground floor unit that opens onto the beautiful grass. The views from this condo are actually better than the ocean front buildings (Buildings 13,14 and 15). You look over the beautiful golf course to the ocean or to the mountains, while the ocean front ones look over a lot of lava rock to the ocean and have no mountain views. We also liked being able to walk to the pool. The restaurant at the pool was much improved. We hope to be back again!

Wedding week family golf group

Perfect location for our group! This ground floor condo is perfectly spacious & well stocked. We appreciated every aspect of the furnishings, ceiling fans, outdoor space and truly felt at home. Close proximity to the pool, Ocean Club, lava trail walk to Hilton adjacent property. I highly recommend taking the full loop walk to the beach! We later drive to park for a day at the beach and our condo beach chairs & cooler we’re a blessing. Golf access, tee times and pricing were seamless and our group played multiple rounds enjoying all 3 courses, but Beach #6 is an obvious favorite. We hope to return to this beautiful location & will recommend it to friends traveling to the area next year. Thank you for a lifetime of wedding week memories we will never forget!

Beautiful location. However, it is misrepresented in the website as having a king bed, a queen bed, and a double bed. This is not accurate, it is false. There was no queen bed. There were two double beds. This required one of us to sleep on a couch which was not expected on this very expensive vacation. Definitely upset at being misled by the advertising.

Excellent condo!

I’ve stayed in this resort in the past and loved it. Great location, views, amenities. Super clean, well stocked. Only thing missing was beach chairs. Wouldn’t use Kona concierge service again. Better to book yourself for accuracy. We hope to get back to Hali’kai again.

9H Rocks!

We loved everything about 9H except 2 issues: (1) Master bdrm mattress needs to be replaced—it rolls to center big time, (2) cushions on dining room chairs need replaced as is like sitting on two hard sticks. I’ll add a third—I’d suggest getting a Kuerig coffee machine. Overall the hospitality at HK is excellent. (Golf discounts a big bonus if you golf!). Views are tremendous at this unit and at clubhouse.

Great family vacation

This gorgeous property was perfect for our family of five! Very spacious, beautifully furnished and a well - stocked kitchen (including Tupperware which was perfect for packing snacks for day trips). Clear directions and labels made settling in on that first day quick and easy. The view from the Lanai was breathtaking and it was only a short walk to the pool area. Wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Absolutely perfect

Our stay at this condo was one of the best parts of our trip. The complex was beautiful and well maintained. The condo was lovely, comfortable, and well stocked. We enjoyed the unobstructed view of the ocean from our lanai and spending time at the pool. The staff was friendly. We also appreciated the close proximity to the best beaches. Couldn’t have asked for a better rental. Thank you!

Amazing stay in roomy condo

This condo was great for our family of four (parents with 11yo & 14yo girls). Pros: The unit was close to the pool and ocean and there were ocean views from the room. condo was a first story unit so walk out from the patio was convenient and we didn’t have to haul our luggage up a flight of stairs, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, beach toys and towels, nice path along the ocean with beautiful lava rocks,. Pool is really unique and resort like. The location is great for the sunny side of the island and still convenient for a drive to little town in Kona. Highly recommend staying here if you like more space than a hotel room, convenience of W/D and less expensive accommodations while not compromising on amnesties. Overall great stay! Thank you

This is the place to stay!

From start to finish we were impressed by the condo, resort and the communication with Kona Coast Vacations. The condo was very clean and had everything that we needed. Kitchen is well appointed with cooking wear, utensils, spices, oils, foil wrap basically everything that you would need is there. Beds are all very comfortable with a huge closet in the master and large closets in the other two rooms. Great interior decoration that added to the feel of the place. Location of the condo in the resort was great. Three minute to walk along the grass beside the golf course to get to the pool area. Amazing view of the sunset every night right from the lanai, we could see whales playing in the ocean as well. The only thing that I would say needs to be replaced is the lanai furniture. Getting a little worn but was still comfortable enough. BBQ worked great and cooked our steaks to perfection. Does not self light but has a hand held clicker to get it started. We did have an issue getting into the garage but a call to Kona Coast Vacations and they had a handy man there the next day to replace the key pad and we were good to go. There were four beach chairs, large cooler, two beach umbrellas, two beach pads, boogie boards and a Costco cart to haul your gear to the beach that worked awesome. There was a bag with three sets of flippers but no snorkel gear so we rented some for the week. For beach access that is close by there are a few options. You can drive five minutes to A-bay on the other side of the resort with lots of parking and a short walk to the very nice beach. I walked over to black sands beach on the fishermen’s trail that starts right beside the pool. Very nice walk along the ocean but make sure to have decent shoes, no flip flops, as it is a lava path that can be a little tricky in spots. Took about 20 minutes with stops to take a few pics along the way. Great place to snorkel and does not get busy with people. We also went to the lagoon at the Hilton which is about a fifteen minute walk using the fisherman’s trail or we cut across the golf course and were there in five minutes. Worth going over there for a day as the lagoon is easy for swimming and snorkeling. Not as clear of water as the ocean but still lots to see with turtles that will swim right up to you. There is a fee. Hapuna beach is a must! Would 100% stay here again!

Kona experience

Really enjoyed, would come back. Wall mounted art was not secure enough for a child. Scary when fell randomly.

Beautiful location, highly recommended

Everything was just as advertised. Easy directions, quick check in. Unit has everything you need. Loved it. Golf course and ocean view. Highly recommended.

Great location!

We greatly enjoyed our stay here! We aren’t golfers but the view over the golf course was beautiful. We would enjoy sunsets from the condo each night. The location is nice and quiet. The condo was very clean and greatly stocked with everything you would need. We can’t wait to return to explore more of this beautiful island
