"This house is located in an area that makes it easy to get anywhere you need to go. There are plenty of great places for food and drinks that are within a short walk or drive. Some of my family members felt that the area was unsafe at night but I never felt that way during our stay. The house does not quite live up to the pictures. It needs a super deep clean and to be upgraded generally. However, it is quite a bit cheaper than everything else I looked at so maybe that is the trade off....

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was great and had some walkable restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and the property was exactly as described. Everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The downstairs area was perfect for our kids to have their own space. I especially loved how well labeled everything was. Would definitely stay here again."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this Uptown gem. Our dates were 1st week of March so a little cold, but we did brave one walk down to the park and lake and it was amazing. So many people were out walking, biking and running: seems like a really active part of the city. I can only imagine how amazing it would be from spring -fall. We didn’t really utilize the house space because all our plans were out and about in the twin cities, but it has a full kitchen and dining room table and nice little...

"The house is beautiful and the wood work is amazing. The first floor bathroom tub needs repair, the tub is cracked and it feels unsafe to stand to shower. The kitchen did not have a can opener; which was needed to open the cans for our Green beans casserole. Thank goodness I live locally because I was able to bring my own pots and pans, casseroles dishes, can opener, and peeler. Also, there was no dishwasher soap and I had to do all the dishes by hand. Overall, we had a wonderful time."

"Hosts were great. When the weather turned unusually warm, they offered to install a window A/C unit, but by the time I saw their message in VRBO, it was too late to have them install the A/C. That's my way of lauding them for keeping in touch and so I would only recommend that future guests check their VRBO messages early in the day and often during the stay. My only wish would be for a separate washer/dryer. The combo washer/dryer does not fully dry clothes and it's very loud when the "dry"...

"The check-in process wad easy and communication with the host, Brenda was excellent. She was quick to answer any questions or concerns that we had. We knew it was a 2nd level upstairs unit and the place was clean and cozy. However, the place was a little older and kind of chilly at times, and the floor boards were squeaky so we tried our best not to make too much noises. Not sure if the older heaters worked or not but we didn't have any thicker blankets to utilize to keep warm. *Please bring...

But with the way that the property was listed as a house I was under the impression that we were renting the entire house- not just the top two levels of the duplex. This was not a major issue at any point during the weekend. And we still had plenty of space and privacy. There are a several things that I would suggest the owner address: -- The shower drain is very slow and, as a result, sudsy water backs up and makes the shower a slip hazard. "Very spacious, completely renovated 3br lower level unit in Uptown. Walking distance to many restaurants, bars and the lakes. Just a short drive to the Target center. Host was very responsive and helpful with local recommendations!"

"I am not sure what the difference between booking here versus at the hotel/online/phone. The room is also all the way on the far end of the 3rd floor. No close exits, Very small entry/driveway/check in area, easy access to the lobby, and the pool and hot tub are all the way on the opposite side of the building in a seperate area. The room was beautiful and as described. It just didnt seem that its any different."
