Really loved the Magnolia Soap shop and Starbucks right on the other side of the hotel. Slow Rise restaurant has great food. Terry Blacks BBQ is worth all the raves. Dr. Pepper museum was great. Waco is really a low key Texas gem.

The National Park site celebrating the Wooly Mammoths is terrific and certainly unique in all the world. Well worth h the 20 minute drive from downtown. The restaurants Di Campli's George's near campus and Hecho en Waco are very good.
