The scenic route from Geiranger to Trollstigen to see waterfalls, canyons, trolls & crystal clear glacier lakes is well worth the time—it’s a must to fully appreciate the beauty of the Fjords. Winding down at night with Sauna & Cold Plunging is just the Nordic way. Our stay at the Quality Hotel Waterfront Alesund was perfect. Great location, clean rooms, hospitable staff, excellent free full breakfast and I’ll say it again, every employee was SO nice, SO accommodating and that is not always the case these days. "

"I never leave reviews but Hjelle hotel was simply outstanding. Beautiful location right on a picturesque lake, and very friendly staff/owners. They were even willing to do my laundry for a small fee. "

"Really enjoyed our stay here, the reception staff were friendly and the breakfast had lots of delicious options. The room was spacious and comfortable, even with 3 of us sharing. The location was ideal, not noisy and just on the edge of the main shopping and restaurants area and not far from the boat trips and kayaking. "

"Very nice location and views from the hotel. Cozy interior and clean room. The blinds was however not working properly, but it was possible to get it completely dark anyways. The beds were falling apart from each other and the top mattress sided down during night, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, we had a really good stay. Cozy and nice breakfast! "
