"It’s a hostel with a difference. Small rooms down street like passageways. Communal showers and toilets. Hairdryers available. Only two microwaves to cook with and a fridge. Located centrally. Staff very helpful. It’s quiet too."

"The shower room gets flooded in every use as the water passes through the gap in the glass divider. The whole room smells like old rotten wood. We had to ask for air freshener"

"The hotel is excellent for anyone going to Europa park and rulantica, we did everything on public transport and walking, the bus stop is 1 minute walking from the hotel. The walk to the park entrance is about 20 minutes, when leaving the park we used the hotels exit in the Spanish area. Two supermarkets nearby with good bakeries for breakfast, the hotel offers a microwave in the reception. I just wish the room had a mini fridge"

"The hotel is old, rooms are old, however, it was very, very quiet, safe and clean. The breakfast was excellent, very hearty with lots of variety. A great place to stay right outside of Freiburg with easy driving access to the old city. We would stay here again."

"This is an amazing hotel if you are going to use trains or buses. The breakfast is excellent. We had a newly refurbished room with a good outlook so that was good. However, there was no easy chair despite neighbouring rooms having two. We asked a couple of times for a chair to no avail. We’d have given five stars otherwise"

"Staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable. Only gripe was the pillows really although we had the option to change these for firmer ones at the reception."
