Experience an unforgettable stay by the sea! No, not just by the sea, but in the sea. Because of its location on the longest Boulevard in the Netherlands and the fact that both the sea water line and the channel are nowhere in the Netherlands so close to the coast, you feel as if you are sitting on a ship when you look out. That feeling already starts on the ground floor (Boulevard is located higher at about 10 metres above sea level) but is further enhanced on the upper floors. So deliberately, the living room is situated on the first floor and you enjoy panoramic and frontal sea views, even from the open kitchen. The large sea vessels pass you as if you were encountering them at sea with your own boat. Every day, the combination of the sea, sky and clouds is a play of colours, with the setting sun as the finale.The house contains 3 bathrooms, 2 full kitchens and 2 living areas. The ground floor (at boulevard level) can be used as a full-fledged living unit by elderly guests, for example, and can be closed off from the rest of the property.
We will take you through the property briefly. The property contains 2 entrances, on the Noordzeestraat and on the (higher on dike level Boulevard de Ruyter). We start the tour at the back (Noordzeestraat). A straight staircase takes you to the first floor with a double bedroom and a room with a double bed and a single bed. In addition, this floor contains a bathroom with shower and toilet. Stairs take you to the second floor (ground floor level from the main entrance). This floor contains a full residential unit and is suitable for elderly people, for example, who cannot climb stairs all the time. This second floor (from Noordzeestraat, but ground floor level from the main entrance) contains a living area (with sitting area +TV) a double sofa bed, a fully-fledged kitchen (of course with all conveniences and very nice sea view), a dining table and a bathroom with shower and toilet. This floor can be used for 4 people (double bed + double sofa bed). This floor also contains an outside seating area with a hardwood bench and additional chairs.
A staircase leads to the third floor (1st floor from boulevard level). This floor contains a spacious living room (with panoramic sea views) and a second full kitchen. The south-facing side of the living room consists entirely of windows (openable, of course). The window sills lend themselves to sitting on and enjoying the view. There is a spacious double sofa bed in the living room.
The next staircase leads to the fourth floor (2nd floor from boulevard level). This floor contains a bedroom for 3 (bunk bed and single bed), a toilet, a bathroom with shower and a double bedroom. Wide French doors lead to the sunny balcony.
The last staircase leads to the large sunny roof terrace (safely screened with high windows over one and a half metres high) with large lounge sofas and above all (partly due to the height) an unforgettable view of the sea, but also (back) of the old town.
Atop the 5-storey building is a sunny (south-facing) 40-square-metre roof terrace with ample seating for sunbathing and/or enjoying the sea view (from a great height).
In addition, the property contains a sunny balcony (2nd floor). There is also the opportunity to sit outside on the ground floor.
As the property is located directly by the sea + at the city centre/historical centre + directly at the Bellamypark (many restaurants/cafés) there is paid parking in the immediate vicinity. It is also possible to use a parking card through the owner for a fee. With said parking card, you can park on the entire Boulevard and rear residential area.
Besides the house itself (the house is experience in itself), there is also a lot to do in the area, both the beach, the sea, the shopping centre and the historical centre, are all within walking distance (at most a few minutes' walk). The surrounding area offers plenty for all ages.
You will stay in accommodation located directly by the sea (boulevard). The boulevard is over 2.5 km long with many restaurants, beautiful (hanging) terraces, quiet, extensive beaches, but also busier beaches with beach restaurants, lifeguards, rental chairs. From the promenade to Zoutelande and further towards Westkapelle and Domburg, there are many kilometres of stretched (quiet and busier) beaches. Perfect for a nice walk on the beach with your feet in the water.
The beaches of Vlissingen are (unique for the Netherlands, as many beaches are west or north-facing) south-facing and sun-facing, so that besides enjoying the sun, you can also admire the passing ships (close to the coast).
The accommodation is located 50 metres from the Bellamypark (square with many restaurants and cafés).
The city centre is easy to reach within walking distance (directly behind the Bellamypark).
There are also plenty of activities for children. Besides beach visits, in the immediate vicinity (all within walking distance) there are playgrounds, reptile zoo, museums and a large cinema/theatre with 9 theatres.
Bookings of groups of young people aged 18 to 25 are not accepted (you are welcome in our other accommodation Rijksmonument Havenzicht). Bookings of groups with adults only between 25 and 35 years old, are accepted only under (additional) conditions, including (night) rest rules and maximum group size.
